Much ado about everything today on the blogs...

  • The Foreigner blogs on the military officer in full dress uniform who attended a political protest in Taipei and was disciplined for advocating a coup. He also excoriates the China Post for its better Red than dead position

  • Blogger and babe Senorita Pequena visits the Olga Russian BBQ.

  • nostalgiaphile compiles his guide to Chinese poetry on the internet. Who doesn't love Tang poetry...."Setting, the moon seems to shake the flowering trees along the river with unquiet thought."

  • Lixibao blogs on his trip around the island, this time on the East Coast.

  • Finding the Rabbit, who always has good pics, visits the fortifications around Keelung. If you get a chance to do this, there are Japanese, ROC, Ching, and French works still to be found in the hills around the city. Well worth a trip....

  • Special: 800,000 privileged youths sign up for service in Iraq. From The Onion: the source of tomorrow's news, today.
