New Articles at Japan Focus This Week

Nothing about Taiwan, but for you Japanophiles there are several interesting articles at Japan Focus this week. The article on strategic bombing and kamikazes manages to be both insipid and stupid -- obviously it got published because it accorded with the editor's leftist politics and for no other reason -- but the article on nuke plants and quakes is terrifying, since we have the same situation here in Taiwan. Also of interest might be the article on Tojo's granddaughter, who is carrying water for the Japanese Right. Just substitute "Bush" for "Tojo" and she speaks identically to the US Right. Scary. Is this what I am going to have to listen to for the rest of my life?
