Opening at National Yang Ming University

Full-Time Teaching Positions Available:

Center for General Education,

National Yang Ming University, August 2006

National Yang Ming University is a Bio-medical based research
institution located in the northern part of Taipei city. At the
moment, 3815 students have been registered in both undergraduate and
graduate programs. Number of students admitted to these two programs
is more or less the same. Center for general education is a discrete
faculty offering courses to the undergraduate students in the areas
related to languages, humanities, social sciences and
interdisciplinary subjects. Three assistant professorship or above
faculty members are invited to join the Center starting from the
academic year 2006. The courses of the three faculty members will be
focused on

1. Humanities and Chinese literature

2. General English, western literature and culture

3. Social sciences

Academic qualification required for the potential candidates and the
employment details are listed as follows.

Qualifications:

1. Ph.D. degree or assistant professor (or above) in literature,
history, philosophy, anthropology, society, culture, linguistics,
TESOL or other related field.

2. University teaching experiences

Application process:

Position begins August, 2006. Please summit by February 28, 2006 a
letter of application that provides information as to how the
applicant meets the qualification listed above, curriculum vitae,
autobiography, copies of diplomas, 3 letters of recommendation (from
teachers or employers), a list of publication track record, and
syllabuses of three courses planned to offer.
