Thirty Senators recently sent a letter on the TRA and Taiwan to President Obama. Note that the language of the letter stresses the positive relationship with The Beautiful Island, and that it mentions human rights. Signatories include Republicans and Democrats: Inhofe, Johnson, Wyden, Brownback, Fester, Dorgan, Kyl, Coburn, Lieberman, Isakson, Collins, Hatch, Brown, Chambliss, Graham, Martinez, Sessions, Vitter, Risch, Menendez, Johannes, Roberts, Bunning, Wicker, Spector, Murkowski, Cochran, Rockefeller, Cardin, and Snowe. According to what I heard, a major force behind this was Sherrod Brown. Kudos to all the hardworking Taiwan organizations that made this happen, and to the Senators who signed this letter._______________________
