Events and Announcements

What's being cultivated in Taiwan in the next couple of weeks? Lots going on....


First, my friend Michael the Bushman and his Blue Sky band will be playing the Bitan Music Fest this Sunday between 15:00 and 17:00.


Bill Allen alerted me to his new site,, which offers jobs, secondhand goods, yellow pages, and other good stuff about Taiwan.


Friday there is a seminar on the internet, Chinese/Taiwanese identity in the diaspora, and Web 2.0, conducted by Jens Damm

The seminar will be held in English. The session be chaired by Frank Muyard, director of CEFC Taipei Office and Luca Gabbiani, director of EFEOĆ¢€™s Taipei Office. It is open to scholars and students.

Taiwan American Flag Football Association in Taipei is looking for players. The season started on the 7th but apparently they need people. They play on Saturdays in Taipei.
