The Taipei Times reported this scintillating bit of theatre in a Taiwan Quick Take. The idea of the New Party being taken seriously in China grows more comic when you consider the last couple of news items involving that Party. There was former legislator and New Party stalwart Elmer Fung being convicted of raping his maid last week, while a couple of weeks ago New Party founder, and now independent legislator Li Ao said that he had a CIA document showing Chen Shui-bian faked his own shooting.
