Meanwhile, the UN crap continues....

Walking stick
Any day I see a walking stick is a good day.

A local journalist sent this around. They were applying to attend the ICAO. As another discussant observed, the newspaper this reporter represents is not affiliated with a Taiwanese new agency and thus there are no grounds whatsoever for rejection.

Good afternoon,

With respect to your request for accreditation to attend the 38th Session of the ICAO Assembly, ICAO continues to conduct itself in accordance with the United Nations’ one-China policy and our unit is unfortunately not permitted to accredit media directly affiliated to Taiwanese news agencies while this policy remains in place.

We regret any inconvenience this may cause.

No one is to blame for this except the Taiwanese people themselves. What I mean is that Taiwanese are too divided and do not speak with one voice.

Although the majority of the people here think/want to be a sovereign country, 51% keep voting for the murdering, bumbling, corrupt, gangster supported, China sellout KMT fvcktards. In addition, the temple/agri/political networks the KMT established are hard to break, but break they must for Taiwan to have any future. Frankly, I have given up hope that Taiwan can escape the destiny they created for themselves.

So basically any journalist from Taiwan is barred from observing and reporting the ICAO meeting? Regardless is it a news organ from Taiwan, as long as it is someone from Taiwan?

This is like UN kowtow to PROC. What about the freedom of press? And the idea of Reporters Without Borders? Journalists should be able to report everything, regardless of their country of origin.
