On late night TV in Taiwan, you can often see ads for hotels, bars, and KTVs, with women in provocative outifts or dancing lasciviously, beer in hand. Hmmm....what could they possibly be selling?
I remember before 2001 every parked car in the 'Chung had these little ads for KTVs and, er, other important mainstays of the service economy. Suddenly they all disappeared. What's up with that? Just as my collection was filling out, too....
My favourite late night show is the one where the women play rock, paper, scissors and take off items of clothing. Before the ad break there was( and maybe still is )always a website address for a sex toy shop.
In the name of research I called a couple of the numbers on the ads and received recorded messages. Sometimes I still receive recorded messages with 0204 prefix in return.

can anyone translate the ad--curious.

The Chinese simply gives the name and address, and the prices. I think it says 1 person 5,000, 3 persons 7,500, but the text prior to "5,000" is lost.
