The Gold Museum at the Gold Ecological Park near Jinguashih had a sign that proclaimed that Sung dynasty records showed that Taiwan aborigines traded gold sand they had recovered from the east coast, and that Europeans knew of this when they arrived in Taiwan. I have never heard this claim before. Does anyone out there know what the writer is referring to?
