Kill Lien Chan?

Thanks to my friend Thesto Neroses at Infidels for spotting this one. Here the TT appears to advocating that somebody whack Lien Chan for them. Not a good idea, guys. What could you have been thinking?

Lien's latest betrayal can only have us wondering how long it will be before Taiwanese decide his antics must be stopped. English King Henry II once asked of Archbishop Thomas Becket, "Will no one rid me of this turbulent priest?" We ask: Will no one rid Taiwan of this treacherous Lien Chan?

I saw that last graph too, and was shocked. it sounds like the editorial writer was calling for the assasination of LienChan. no? those are strong words? and everyone knows who wrote those words....isn't that going a bit too far? ouch!

Reminds me of the editiorial a little while ago where the TT seemed to advocate tossing all the French out of Taiwan in retaliation for them wanting to lift the arms ban. I hate Lien as much as the next guy, but for a purportedly liberal newspaper to write that is ridiculous and embarrassing.
