Swamped. It will be two more days, so until then, puzzle over this strange betel nut stand my man Cary Broder photographed somewhere in the wilds of Taiwan.

Seen from this angle the two symbols combine into the Seal of Theosophy. These are Buddhist symbols too. Maybe the installer couldn't place the swastika flat on its edge. Oops!
ReplyDeleteWell the swastika is spinning to the left and not the right. I have seen tilted anti clockwise swastikas in Buhhist temples.
