Today's weather with clashing fronts and a typhoon produced a twister in Taipei, which hit an apartment building but did only minor damage. Luckily no one was hurt. Very rare weather occurrence. It is also raining, so the drought discussed below may be getting some relief. We need several days of downpour, though, to fill the reservoirs.
