RIDES: Apr 24/25 we'll be reprising the ride in Nantou last month. This ride has two starting possibilities. If you like, you can get to Taichung and bike with us on Friday down to Jiji or Shuili and overnight there, meeting up with more people on Saturday morning. If that doesn't work, you can come down on Saturday morning from Taipei and take the local train to Shuili, meeting us at 10 in Shuili. If you'd like to come, contact me.

That Commonwealth article on the low birthrate is indeed the most informative piece I've seen so far. One scary part: "Over the next decade one third of Taiwan's universities will have to close their doors". Silver-lining: In Taipei "supply will exceed demand in the housing market". I'll be waiting for that.
