Just a note. I did the paperwork for my absentee ballots while I was home in the spring. There was a ballot that I was supposed to receive for a certain primary in June (I have no idea for what, since THE primaries were in January). That ballot never arrived. The lady told my father that "a lot of people" hadn't received the ballot, though the system showed nothing out of order.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what this means, or when I'm supposed to receive the ballot for November. Maybe it's just South Carolina (wouldn't surprise me).
Just a heads up.
Good heads up, Michael. Thanks for posting it early on. This is an important election for the entire world.
ReplyDeleteProbably would be a good idea for a reminder later on.
You can go to www.votefromabroad.org/10 to register to vote and request an absentee ballot. Fill out the required FPCA form by using the wizard on the website, print the FPCA out and MAIL it back to your home county.
ReplyDeleteIf you don't receive a ballot by early October (like robert's problem), then you can use a Federal Write-In Absentee Ballot (FWAB). The FWAB is the blank form that is part of the votefromabroad print out - hang on to this blank form in case you need it in October, but mail in the FPCA form.
FULL DISCLAIMER - I work for the Obama campaign as a regional field director, but you can obviously use this process to vote for any candidate. If anyone would like to volunteer for the Obama campaign in Taiwan, please email me at: chiuc@dnc.org
