ESWN continues his defenses

I have to admit I am enjoying the latest series of Roland's defenses of ESWN (previous one here) So far his defense amounts to "I am popular, so shut up!" and "I can do what I want since it is my blog, so shut up!" as well as "Just shut up!". That's great, Roland -- it would be even better if it actually addressed anything that was said. But don't change -- each time you post an "insightful article" about Taiwan and its democracy, it helps show the world what a bunch of unreconstructed authoritarian snots Chinese conservatives are, and helps make the case for democracy and independence here.

Also, Roland, have you corrected that lying story about macking in Taiwan that you got from Apple Daily yet -- you know, the one that you thought was about foreigners, only it wasn't true? As of 1:00 pm Taiwan time, not yet! Keep using that infotainment vehicle Apple Daily, Roland -- looking forward for even more entertainment!

  1. Roland is starting to sound like a punch-drunk blogger. He's rhetorically staggering around the ring, throwing punches at an opponent he cannot even clearly see any more.

Michael, I blame *you* for ESNW's cerebral injuries. You've played Ali to Roland's Foreman, and a guy can only take so much abuse before the world starts swimming before his eyes...

  2. Wanted to leave some plain flatout encouragement. Roland is a big enough blog that comments can be a big problem, but at the same time, maybe it makes him oblivious to his illogical arguments (hey, it's the best I could do for him).

Good job on calling ESNW out, and keep it up until he corrects his errors. Stay clear, stay rational Michael.

  3. Oh, don't you know, anyone who criticizes anything he says are sending "hate mail." Also, of course, all of his critics are either FLG, splittists, or American neo-cons. He is losing all credibility and fast. Oh yeah, his blog is popular so shut up.

  4. Some people say democracy equals facism. Well, who am I to tell you otherwise? Many, many people who support "free speech" in the West also lie in their personal lives. A recent poll showed that 80% of Americans lie about leaving the toilet seat up and so forth. Also, porn is very popular in democracies. This is just a fact. (If I could only tell you the numerous connections I have to the the famous scholar who conducted this poll! I better not disclose this -- better to keep silent).

Where was I? Oh, here are my blog's stats from the last 2 hours. I hope you appreciate the ESWN experience I provide for you. This is a favor I do for you personally, so don't bite the hand that feeds you. I'd rather do other things with my time -- oh sorry, the BBC is calling again. Why won't they leave me alone??

  6. ESWN does criticize the CCP sometimes; however, what most people miss is that the reason he is criticizing them is that he doesn't think they are truly left-wing enough. They aren't communist enough for him. They aren't ideologically imbued with the "spirit of civilization" (read "care about the masses") enough for him.

I guess only someone who lived most of his life in the comfort of the "capitalist" West can have this sort of ridiculous communist nostalgia for a past that never existed.
