The Wood Carving Museum, Sanyi

Last week I took my aunt and uncle to Sanyi. One of the places we visited was the wood carving museum there. I was afraid it might be some hokey local musuem, but it turned out to be an extremely pleasant experience, several floors of beautiful objects of many different styles. This museum is just one of the many interesting local museums (here's a page on the earthquake museum in Wufeng) that populate Taiwan. If you haven't been there on a trip to Sanyi, don't miss it.
