Where was their "Chinese heart" of patriotism?<br /><br />Their action ended with an act to recognize and accept the Japanese right to arrest them on those islands. It almost seems like they feel that if they can't be independent and democractic, then they don't feel that Taiwan should be allowed to be democratic, either.<br /> <br />Is it a kind of cultural chauvanism?
