Just look at the la...This seems correct to me also. Just look at the last 1000 yrs of Korean history: either they have been paying patronage to China or being violently subjugated by the Japanese. The idea that they are an enemy of the U.S. is just a hangover from the proxy war fought in the 50s.<BR/><BR/>Not that I am a fan of Kim Jong-Il and his incompetent regime, but the U.S. should not be portraying North Korea as an arch enemy. I mean the Axis-of-Evil crap is just ridiculous and counterproductive as North Korea just becomes more reclusive and paranoid.<BR/><BR/>I think closer relations between the U.S. and NK awaits only a more practical and open regime in the North (where is their Deng Xiao Ping or the communist equivalent of Park Chung-Hee) and removing the conservative wing of Republican party from foreign policy decisions.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
