Naturally being the KMT they didn't do the research (real polling is an art the KMT began only in the 2008 election). Now they suffer from buyer's remorse and Soong suddenly rising from the grave to trouble them. Karma sucks.<br />In any case Yang himself has spoken of the process on TV. You did watch, right? There's a link on my site somewhere.</b><br /><br />I saw Yang try to explain why he suddenly started to support some pro-KMT positions. He doesn't mention anything about organizing the defection with the KMT. He was simply constructing a narrative to justify his defection and win support from natural KMT voters.<br /><br />The whole collusion scenario is very unlikely.
