Blogging Depression

For those you who are total blog addicts, The Nonist offers a pamphlet on blogging depression.

There is a growing epidemic in the cyberworld. a scourge which causes more suffering with each passing day. as blogging has exploded and, under the stewardship of the veterans, the form has matured more and more bloggers are finding themselves disillusioned, dissatisfied, taking long breaks, and in many cases simply closing up shop. this debilitating scourge ebbs and flows but there is hardly a blogger among us who has not felt its dark touch. we're speaking, of course, about blog depression.

I've noticed that - people blogging like mad for ages then suddenly quitting. I think some people overblog and end up feeling like their hard work is not appreciated, and that they are wasting their time.

The big question is how much is too much? 2 hours a day, 3?
Personally, what depresses me is the thought that there are people out there spending over 2 hours a day on their blog. Beats watching TV I suppose.

Got to put you on the spot, Michael. How many hours a day do you spend on this blog? Be honest!

Be honest! About blogging? Truthfully, not many...because I have all my other blogs to attend to -- my NT studies blog, and several others. LOL!

True dat... it's a marathon, not a race. But I'd rather spend 2 hours blogging about why Taiwanese guys grow long pinky nails than subject myself to that amount of time watching reality TV.

That's a good way of looking at it. Often as I pass through my day I encounter things I want to blog on....
